Genetic factors in birth defect risks
Children’s Hospital Informatics Program (CHIP) were able combine data from bioinformatics and public databases of 619 drugs, and found that if drugs affected drugs certain genes, this could put the mother’s baby at a greater risk for developing birth defects.
