A simple screening test that could save children’s vision
David Hunter, chief of Ophthalmology at Children’s came up with the idea of a Pediatric Vision Scanner to measure the eyes’ alignment and focusing ability, and was able to detect well over 95 percent of children who had an eye problem. He recently received FDA approval to start clinical trials.
