Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID)
Disease Information
Tests
At Children’s Hospital Boston, we know that the first step to treating your child is forming an accurate, timely diagnosis.
How is SCID diagnosed?
A diagnosis of SCID is usually made based on a complete medical history and physical examination of your child. In addition, multiple blood tests – including a complete blood cell count – may be ordered to help confirm the diagnosis.
