At Children’s Hospital Boston, research is currently underway on assessing bladder function in every boy at specific time points, starting six months after the initial valve ablation.
Based on these results, our specialists hope to guide therapy accordingly in order to optimize bladder function. T his should be a significant benefit to the overall health of the boy, especially in regards to bladder function and its impact on kidney function.
Research is also looking at defining the role of medication for abnormal bladder function and assessing the boy’s progress after he receives such a medication.
