This technique is very simple requiring the intradermal injection of a small volume of 99mTc-sulfur colloid and serial gamma camera imaging. It allows visualization of selected regional lymphatic drainage. In pediatrics this method has been found useful in the assessment of lymphedematous limbs and the diagnosis of chylothorax.
