The symptoms of influenza may resemble other conditions or medical problems. Always consult your child's physician for a diagnosis.
Your child’s doctor may conduct a rapid test, when a swab of your child’s nose or throat will be sent to a laboratory. This test will also be able to determine what strain of flu virus your child has.
