Children's 10-Year Expansion Plan

Children's Hospital Boston's strategic plan has identified an urgent need for new inpatient beds to serve its growing acute care patient population. In addition, the hospital identified the need for several LMA campus development and improvement projects over the next ten years to provide sufficient clinical, research and hospital support space to meet Children's mission. Because these potential long-term plans are not finalized and because the need for acute care beds is so urgent, Children's Institutional Master Plan (IMP) only currently includes a proposed vertical addition to its Main Building, providing 39 new inpatient beds.

The hospital is in the process of seeking Boston Redevelopment Authority approval for its IMP. Check here for future updates!
