Flower Whole Blood Donation
When blood is collected, it still contains all of the blood components; thus it is called 'Whole Blood.' A short 30-minute whole blood donation can help as many as four children. Your whole blood can be separated into its components: red blood cells, platelets and plasma. This enables us to help more children by giving each child only the specific blood product that he or she needs.
Points of interest:
  • The most common type of donation.
  • Donations can be made every 2 months.
  • Helps to replenish much needed blood to support all patients.
  • Enables family and friends to give blood with a particular child in mind.
  • No appointment is required.
