kids healthy future
Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures (HKHF) is a one-of-a-kind initiative in the City of Boston for preschool age children to prevent obesity. Children's Hospital Boston, Northeastern University and the Boston Red Sox created the program to provide parents and early childcare providers with nutrition and physical activity education and training at four Boston Head Start programs. Since 2009, over 200 Head Start staff and parents/caregivers have participated in training or activities. HKHF also partners with the Boston Center for Youth and Families to provide families with a free and safe place for physical activity through a Saturday "Open Gym" at Madison Park Community Center.
